A special feature of this type of hook is the ease and speed with which the hooks may be installed or removed from any convenient sling, leaving the sling available for other uses when required. The hooks are suitable for handling most boxes, crates, barrels, timber, steel sheets, plate, pipe, castings. etc. They are particularly useful where a wide variety of material must be handled which may require quick removal of the hooks from the sling for changing conditions. Many rigging departments keep a variety of sizes on hand for varied uses.
Working load limits as listed, are given with the load on the point of hook and the sling legs at angles approximately as shown.
Slings suitable for use with these hooks are available upon receipt of specifications.
